We are committed to fostering a vibrant arts community in Nipissing, nurturing historic Indigenous arts practices which span a middle ground between professional and community arts, and exploring how we can carry forward our practices in a meaningful contemporary context. Near North Mobile Media Lab (N2M2L) is a media arts access centre that provides the tools media artists, students, filmmakers and audiences in Northern Ontario need to produce, present and enjoy contemporary media arts in all its forms.
Zakide aims to advance the public’s appreciation of contemporary Aboriginal art by producing public art exhibitions and presentations, and by providing a forum for qualified Aboriginal artists to exhibit, present, or perform their artistic works through participation in such events.

Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography is a non-profit artist-run centre committed to photography as a multi-faceted and ever-changing art form. Founded in 1979 to establish a supportive environment for the development of photography, Gallery 44’s mandate is to provide a context for reflection and dialogue on contemporary photography and its related practices.
Gallery 44 offers exhibition and publication opportunities to national and international artists, award-winning education programs, and affordable production facilities for artists. Through its programs Gallery 44 is engaged in changing conceptions of the photographic image and its modes of production.
